When we talk about the mental approach to creating music, we very quickly get bogged down with  just about everything that is going to hinder our ability to play what is in our head and usually play what we think will impress others.
To truly create, we have to let go of our urge to impress. That is easier said than done.
We all come with baggage that negatively affect  playing down.
